Kinetic sculpture
It evokes the hybridisation of body and machine, where bones, being one of the first human primordial tools, meet their contemporary ancestor- modern technology. This connection leads to reimagining the material reality of bodies precisely on the basis of their distractibility, proposing a new collective imagination in nowadays surroundings.
As time goes on and new technologies come into play, I think it's so crucial to constantly question and rethink our surroundings, reflecting on multicultural worldmakings, communities and current politics. One of the things that probably drives my world vison and art making is more-than-human way of living where hierarchical structure doesn't exist and every:thing/one benefits from each other.
With this work, I intend to awaken something in the viewer, whether it brings enjoyment, discomfort, confusion or transformation.
